Sherry Shealy Martschink

Sherry Shealy MartschinkSherry Shealy Martschink has had a varied career, from state senator to clown. Or perhaps that’s not so varied at all! She has been a member of the SC House of Representatives, of a local school board, and of the SC State Senate. After losing a race for lieutenant governor, she became SC Workers’ Compensation Commissioner for 12 years. Sherry has been a teacher, a radio talk-show host, and a pianist in clubs and restaurants. At the age of 54, she entered law school, graduating at 57. Most remarkable, all three of her children Tiffany, Tree, and Mandy survived having her as a mother and are now grown and successful in their own areas. Sherry is now a motivational/ inspirational speaker, writer, and consultant. Her blog is “EX Marks the Spot” at www.blondesherry.blogspot. com. She also teaches tap dancing to students who are “at least 50 years old.”
